Nepra approves hike in electricity prices for K-Electric customers

The burden of higher inflation has been put on the people of Karachi in Ramadan, it has been approved to increase the price of electricity by 56 paise per unit for K-electric customers.

According to Nepra, the increase in electricity price is due to the February monthly fuel adjustment. The authority will issue a detailed decision later. The decision will not apply to the lifeline customers of K Electric.

Nepra officials say that in February, K Elekrak generated electricity from its resources at Rs 48 55 paise per unit, the price of electricity received from the resource was Rs 9.05 per unit.
